I am so excited to finally get to share my final wedding of 2017 with you and if you’ve been following along, you’ll remember this couple from this post right here! This wedding has been my most memorable to date because not only was it my first snowy day wedding but this is my brother and now sister-in-law! These two have been through so much together and if anyone deserves a happily ever after prince and princess sort of love story, it’s these two!
While the couple enjoyed their lighthearted morning of getting ready, I got to photograph their beautiful, intentional details including an heirloom pearl necklace for Caitlin’s “something old” and her new last name pinned to her dress for her “something borrowed”. The ceremony was held at Caitlin’s home parish, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, where the beautiful Christmas florals graced the altar complementing their winter theme. We were lucky enough to visit Penn New Bolton Center’s historical Allam House for photographs in between the ceremony and reception and the snow made for the perfect backdrop for their romantic first portraits as husband and wife! Guests from as far west as Washington and as far south as Kentucky and Florida came to celebrate and what a celebration it was! The dance floor was packed the whole night – be sure to scroll through to the end to see the fun.
It’s safe to say that winter weddings are now a personal favorite especially if there’s snow in the forecast! I am honored and blessed to have captured such precious moments for these two and I hope that you enjoy the photographs as much as I do.
Collin and Caitlin – I know the road ahead for you two may not be as clear cut as most but if anyone can make the journey, it’s you two! Use your love to light the way and enjoy this new chapter in your life! I love you both – hugs!
